Pay and Benefits
As well as competitive basic pay, we offer employees a range of benefits – from generous annual leave and pension entitlements, to discounts at more than 2,000 different retailers.
We offer all employees a competitive basic salary. For employees based in and around London, we also pay a regional allowance.
Shelter has been accredited as a Living Wage employer. The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the 'Minimum Income Standard' for the UK. Decisions about what to include in this standard are set by the public; it is a social consensus about what people need to make ends meet. For more information on the Living Wage and being a Living Wage employer, please visit the Living Wage Foundation website.
Our employees may receive up to 30 days’ annual leave (depending on their role), and eight bank holidays per annum (pro rata for part-time staff and those joining part-way through the year).Back to top
