Addressing Anti-Social Behaviour - An Independent Evaluation of Shelter Inclusion Project
Shelter Inclusion Project was launched in 2002 in partnership with Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council. The project was designed to provide an alternative model to present enforcement policies and residential schemes by offering a specialist floating support service to help households identify and deal with the causes of their behaviour and learn how to resolve their situations. The evaluation found that:
The project succeeded in ending or improving antisocial behaviour in 7 out 10 households.
High levels of tenancy sustainment were achieved
There was a high level of service engagement, with users accepting targeted work to address antisocial behaviour
