Homelessness Prevention and Mediation

One of the Government's key homelessness prevention policies has been the promotion of mediation services to people who have become homeless because of relationship breakdown or having been asked to leave their accommodation by family or friends. This briefing considers the use of mediation as a means of preventing homelessness and sets out the principles upon which Shelter believes mediation services should be based.
