Report: Closing the Gaps - Health and Safety at Home

This report is a legal review, contributed by a variety of professionals and looking into gaps in the law that allowed the tragedy of Grenfell to happen.

The report finds that the law in relating to health and safety in people's homes is piecemeal, out-dated and complex, dependent on tenure, and patchily enforced.

Not only does the law require reform, there also needs to be a cultural change, so that those responsible for the health and safety of occupiers become proactive in fulfilling those responsibilities.
