The English Housing Survey, commissioned by DCLG, is the country's key annual survey of housing tenure and conditions. Proposals have been made for reducing the cost of the survey, including moving to biannual data collection.

Shelter is concerned that proposals to cut the English Housing Survey (EHS), following on from cuts already made in 2010, will amount to a significant loss of knowledge about the housing crisis.
