Response: Proposals arising from a cost review of the English Housing Survey

The English Housing Survey (EHS) is a major survey undertaken annually by CLG. Proposals have been made for reducing the cost of this survey, including reducing the sample size.


Shelter is very concerned about proposals to cut the sample size of the EHS. Given the changes faced by tenants in the private and social rented sectors in the near future, it is imperative that as accurate an evidence base as possible is retained in order to measure the impact of policy changes.
