What this event covers

This event gives an overview of the common factors which determine whether accommodation offered to homeless applicants is suitable.

This online event, funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), includes:

• an introduction to the legislation and guidance on homeless accommodation and suitability

• an overview of suitability factors considered by the local authority

• an exploration of when an applicant can challenge the suitability of accommodation

• group discussion and Q&A session

You don’t need any prior knowledge of homelessness accommodation and suitability to attend this event.

You might work in housing or homelessness, or work with clients to prevent homelessness.
