What this course covers
Face to face and webinar training includes:
different mental health problems and common signs and symptoms
examples of feelings or behaviours an individual suffering with a mental health problem may experience
how trauma and secondary trauma can develop or exacerbate mental health problems if untreated
the ‘Recovery Model’ and ‘Mental Health Star’ to aid in supporting individuals
how Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help individuals

recognise signs and symptoms associated with different mental health conditions
recognise how trauma and secondary trauma can be a risk for staff supporting people in difficult circumstances
identify sources of support and signpost or refer a person to the right service for the best response
