More about the event:
Take on an urban fitness challenge and embrace the capital, while helping Shelter to fight bad housing and homelessness. On Sunday, 1st October 2017 runners are invited to discover the sights of urban London by running our unique 15-mile route across the city, which starts out at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and winds along the Thames to Putney. Sign up as a solo runner or make it a team effort and explore the city as a group of four.
Despite Shelter’s hard work for over 50 years, our worsening housing crisis means that homelessness is sadly on the rise. A new family becomes homeless every 13 minutes in England, which is why we need the public’s support more than ever. Not only will participants be helping to raise funds for Shelter’s much-needed services, but they’ll have a great time doing it. All runners are kitted out with a technical running top, provided with chip-timed results, and receive a glittering medal and celebratory free sports massage at the end of the race!
Notes to editors
