Statement on Shelter’s work at Grenfell
Posted 23 Jun 2017
Anne Baxendale, Shelter’s director of policy, communications and campaigns said:
“Shelter London has been working with local partners North Kensington Law Centre, Kensington Citizens Advice Bureau and the Housing Law Practitioners Association. Together, we have been providing advice clinics for those people affected by the fire. Our team is working hard to advise people of their rights, connect with any help that's available, and advocate on their behalf if necessary. Our drop in advice clinics will be continuing over this weekend between 9am and 5pm..
“Our London advice line is also open to anyone who wants advice about housing in London more generally on 0344 515 1540. Since the fire broke out we’ve extended the opening hours from 8am until 8pm, and we’re seeing people at advice surgeries across London, just like we do every week.”
