Helping Shelter's a piece of cake!

Cake Time

Hundreds of people enjoyed a feast with friends and colleagues in March while taking part in Shelter's tastiest fundraising event, Cake Time.

Cake Time is the perfect excuse to indulge in your favourite homemade or shop bought treats. Everyone who has a piece of cake at the event makes a donation to our work with homeless and badly housed people - it's the ethical way to treat yourself!

At Shelter head office, the cake trolley did the rounds with the finest efforts from each department on display. But we were dramatically outdone by Lisa Parker at Godfrey Charles Letting Agents in Hampshire, whose incredible office cake stall (pictured) really took the biscuit this year.

Lisa's delicious range of house-shaped shortbread, chocolate cake, cookies and florentines delighted colleagues and customers throughout the week. She even created special Cake Time packaging for her products!

Shelter Head of Community Events Tracey Carter thanked everyone who made an effort to take part:

'We are delighted that so many people have taken part in Cake Time this year, it's been great hearing from all our supporters about how much fun they have had baking and sharing delicious cakes in aid of Shelter.

'We are hugely grateful for everyone's support which comes at a time of great demand for Shelter's services.'
