Jason's done it!

23 August 2010

Well done Jason!

A huge thank you to Jason Arday, who has now completed his amazing challenge of running 30 marathons in 35 days for Shelter.

Londoner Jason crossed the final finish line of the challenge at Piccadilly Circus on Sunday, cheered home by friends, Shelter staff and other supporters. More than 20 of his friends ran with him for the final stretch.

The 25-year-old sports lecturer smashed his fundraising target, raising more than £6,000 for Shelter and children’s charity Shooting Stars. The challenge was part of his aim to raise £250,000 for charity by the age of 50.

On completing the challenge, Jason said: ‘It is the craziest feeling I’ve ever had in my life, a life changing experience, I just can’t believe it’s gone so quickly.

‘The support I have had has been incredible and I really don’t think I could have done it without all of my friends and family and of course my little girl.’

Jason was inspired to support Shelter following a visit to a homeless shelter as a teenager. You can still support Jason by making a donation on his Justgiving page

We’re hugely grateful to Jason for taking on this momentous challenge for us.
