Set yourself a challenge to take 10,000 steps a day for one month in aid of Shelter.

10,000 steps a day too many or too few for you? You can choose any daily target to suit you, for instance 5,000 or 15,000.

Get stepping during a month of your choice and raise funds for Shelter by asking your friends and family to sponsor you.

Step to feel fit. Step to make change. Step to a future where we end the housing emergency.

How it works

  1. Pick a month and daily step count

  2. Set yourself a fundraising target, we recommend £100

  3. Create your JustGiving page

  4. Get sponsorship by sharing your page with friends and family

  5. Create your monthly step plan and download your step tracking calendar

  6. Get stepping!

How your fundraising will help fight the housing emergency

We’re fighting for a future where no one is homeless. A future where everyone has a safe home.

Last year we advised 17,281 households through our emergency helpline.

As well as helping people in housing need, we work in communities to understand the problem and change the system. And we run national campaigns to fight for change at the top.

By taking on this challenge, you’ll be helping defend the right to a safe home. Because home is everything.
