Visit our Erdington charity shop on the High Street, where we sell a wide range of second-hand furniture, from bookcases and bric-a-brac to sofas and seats. You can also browse for some electrical goods, unworn and second-hand clothes, books, DVDs and more.

If you have items to donate, give us a call on 0121 314 2586 or visit us during opening hours. Please be aware that there are some items we can't accept, such as damaged goods, dishwashers and washing machines.

We welcome volunteers, so if you can spare time to support us then please get in touch.

How your donation makes a difference

By donating unwanted, good quality furniture to our Erdington shop, you're helping to fund our vital work and standing with families facing homelessness.

Do you want to Gift Aid your donation?

Shelter can claim Gift Aid on your donations, so when you say yes to Gift Aid, we can claim an extra 25% of the value of your sold item/s from HM Revenue and Customs. This means we can raise more money from your donations at no extra cost to you*.

By joining the Gift Aid scheme, I agree that I want to Gift Aid my current donation and any donations I may make in the future or have made in the past four years to Shelter. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. I will notify Shelter (Trading Ltd) of any change in my personal circumstances, such as name and address, or that I no longer pay UK Income or Capital Gains tax, or I wish to cancel the declaration. Read Shelter's full retail Gift Aid and agency agreement terms and conditions.
