Inspiring Change Manchester ended in 2022 after eight years. Find out more below or visit the Fulfilling Lives website.

Around 60,000 people in England are classed as having multiple and complex needs, dealing with one or more of the following:

  • homelessness

  • emotional or mental health issues

  • offending

  • substance or alcohol use

  • domestic violence

The National Lottery Community Fund’s initiative was set up to help improve services for people in this group. It also aims to reduce the social and economic costs that come from failing to support them properly.

Find out more information from the National Lottery Community Fund.

Our objectives:

  • Co-production: giving the people with multiple and complex needs in Manchester the opportunity to get involved with the services they need and influence decisions that affect them.

  • Adaptive services: influencing and developing services to be adaptable and flexible to the needs of people with multiple and complex needs in Manchester.

  • Sharing information: improving information-sharing across services to better co-ordinate interventions for people with multiple and complex needs.

  • Access and inclusion: promoting inclusion for people with multiple and complex needs.

  • Policy and commissioning: influencing policy and commissioning in Manchester to better meet the needs of people experiencing multiple and complex needs.

I’m excited to be empowering women in Manchester to find their voice and be part
of the change in Manchester services – after all, they are the experts!
