How to stop bailiffs evicting you
What happens after your court hearing
You can stay in your home if the court decides to stop the bailiffs.
You need to keep making any repayments you agreed to.
For example, the court might tell you to pay £4.53 a week on top of your normal rent if you're on benefits or a low income.
If you do not stick to your repayment plan, your landlord can ask the court to send bailiffs again.
You can ask a court to stop an eviction more than once.
But the judge might not let you stay in your home if you keep missing rent payments.
If you are evicted
You can ask your council for help if you have nowhere to live.
Contact your council before the bailiffs come.
