How to assist single clients of working age with no children who are claiming universal credit (UC) to help pay their rent.

Advice services for professionals

Professionals can consult with benefits advisers at the Child Poverty Action Group's Advice line for advisers which can provide advice for advisers over telephone and email.

Shelter's Expert Housing Advice Service provides specialist help to voluntary organisations and local authorities on housing matters. This can include advice on universal credit's housing element and housing benefit.
