You’ll learn about the impact of legislation, survivor perspectives, and how being culturally competent and responsive to trauma can make a difference.

Face to face and webinar training includes:
how homelessness and modern slavery can lead to each other, with examples
indicators and types of MSHT affecting people from different backgrounds
overview of the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) – including different provisions for children and adults, and gaps in the process that could lead to increased harm
connections to homelessness and insecure housing
government guidance for practitioners and other resources for support
What you'll learn
At the end of this training, you'll be able to:
understand the terminology and key concerns around MSHT
increase confidence in responding to survivors or people at risk of MSHT
recognise that not everyone has access to support
identify links between MSHT and homelessness that could help protect those at risk
