What this course covers
Face to face and webinar training includes:
the housing rights of student occupiers, including excluded occupiers, assured shorthold tenants and other tenancies
when students can claim universal credit, including housing costs
how local authorities can help if someone is homeless or threatened with homelessness
homelessness application tests, including priority need, and vulnerability
advice for students facing possession proceedings
What you'll learn
At the end of this training, you'll be able to:
understand basic security of tenure rules for students
understand when a student can claim universal credit or other benefits to maximise their income
understand when students are entitled to homelessness assistance
