Patrick Whelan

Patrick has over 25 years’ experience providing housing and homelessness training having worked in both local authorities and the voluntary sector. Working in tenancy relations at a Local Authority Housing Aid centre Patrick provided advice, advocacy and enforcement of private sector tenancy rights. Working in local authority strategy and policy roles Patrick understands homelessness services and allocations policy. In the voluntary sector Patrick has also worked as a specialist housing advisor with Citizens Advice and has spent several years with Shelter providing specialist consultancy and training for NHAS.
