How to deal with harassment from landlords or agents

Harassment if you owe rent

Your landlord must not harass you if you owe rent.

They must not threaten to change the locks or throw you out.

They should not come round to demand money, especially if you say that you cannot pay.

They should not keep emailing, phoning or messaging you to demand money.

What to do about rent arrears

Speak to your landlord if you can.

Try to agree how to pay back the money you owe.
