What this course covers

Face to face and webinar training includes:

  • an overview of the main benefits, and their qualifying criteria

  • the distinction between contributory, means tested and health tested benefits

  • the distinction between working age and pension age benefits

  • the relationship between universal credit and other benefits

At the end of this training, you'll be able to identify which claimants can claim which benefits.

  • legacy benefits and universal credit

You don’t need any prior benefits knowledge for this course.

You might work as an adviser, income officer, support worker or in another role supporting people with debt or welfare benefit related problems.
