Turn your DIY project into a donation at B&Q

Join B&Q for their massive autumn fundraising weekend in stores nationwide between Friday 25 and Sunday 27 October.

Visit your local store, pick up something for your next DIY project, and make a donation. You can also continue to make donations throughout the year in-store through Pennies (a UK charity helping their partners grow their grow micro-donations) at B&Q checkouts too. Simply select to include a micro-donation when prompted by the card reader at B&Q checkouts.

Every donation helps raise vital funds for Shelter and partner charities. Your support could help fund Shelter’s emergency helpline or DIY Skills Adviser Service, which empowers people to make essential home improvements.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to B&Q for all their support.

Dance for change: step up for Shelter

Love to dance and never miss an episode of Strictly? Then we’ve got a treat for you.

On Saturday, 30 May 2026, an unforgettable fundraiser is coming to Manchester – Strictly Goes Dirty Dancing. It’s a glitzy black-tie dinner to raise money for Shelter, with contestants performing in front of 450 guests and a panel of dance industry judges. Right now we’re looking for 10 dancing superstars to take to the floor and wow the crowd.

The theme for the night is Dirty Dancing, so if you’re ready to have the time of your life – and you’ve got what it takes to be the next Jennifer Grey or Patrick Swayze – we’d love to hear from you.

Register your interest for free on Eventbrite to take part. We’ll call you to give you more details about taking part.

Prefer to cheer from the sidelines? You can buy tickets using the same link. We’re already counting down the days to hit the dancefloor and raise vital funds for home.
