Dreams really do start at home
Without the foundations of a home, it's difficult for people to thrive.
That's why we started our partnership with Dreams in February 2023. We both share the belief that having a safe home with a bed of your own should be a fundamental human right. Dreams have raised over £108,000 in our first year of partnership, which is helping to fund our much-needed helpline service and our community outreach in Bristol.
On top of this, Dreams continue to be passionate about our campaigning work, increasing public awareness of the temporary accommodation crisis.
Dreams have supported us across their business, kicking off the partnership over the Easter bank holiday weekend where £5 of every sale was donated to Shelter. This initiative brought in an impressive £59,000.
Colleagues have also got stuck in, with Dreams staff across England and Wales collectively raising £17,000 through different challenges, including a quiz night and a 100km walk.
As well as donating money, Dreams are one of our stock donation partners, providing Shelter retail shops with amazing furniture and helping us raise even more money for our vital services. In addition, Dreams have donated beds directly to Shelter clients to support them with setting up in their new homes.
