Equality and inclusion
Our approach acknowledges that people from different backgrounds will have varying experiences of multiple and complex needs
It’s vital that we make sure that our services are open to people from all walks of life. But our approach to equality doesn’t mean we treat everyone who comes through our door in the same way.
We know that people from different backgrounds will all have varying experiences of multiple and complex needs. For example, a man won’t experience homelessness or substance use in the same way as a woman.
That’s why we’ll always work alongside the individual to think about the specific problems they face, and how to overcome them. This means no two people receive the same support when they reach out to us.
Through our equality and inclusion strategy, we strive to:
promote best practice
share knowledge with other organisations in the city
break down barriers to access
make decisions in partnership with people on the programme
