Stand with families like Sireena’s who are facing homelessness
Around 17.5 million people in Britain are impacted by the housing emergency. Many of them are living in unaffordable, damp, crumbling homes that are making them sick and robbing them of a future.
They are having to make an impossible decision between poor living conditions (such as mould, broken boilers, pests and electrical hazards) and the risk of eviction. We know that people who complain about conditions are more likely to be evicted.
Sireena was issued a ‘no fault’ eviction which left her and her young son, Ethan, homeless.
We cannot build a thriving society when people are choosing between their health and homelessness. This shouldn’t be a choice they are forced to make.
