Race through the heart of central London and Westminster on this closed road course. Starting in Whitehall and finishing by Trafalgar Square, the route is relatively flat, with long sections by the riverside. Take in landmarks such as Big Ben, the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral and more.

An amazing atmosphere with themed cheer stations, live music and DJs will keep you motivated all the way to the finish line!

Run and fundraise for Shelter and defend the right to a safe home for everyone.

You must be at least 17 years old to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Already have your own place?

If you were lucky enough to secure your own spot, you can still join Team Shelter and use your place to defend the right to a safe home. We'd love for you to join the team – please get in touch.

Join the fight for home

A man running in a Shelter vest raises his fist in celebration as he passes the cheer point at the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

When you run a half marathon with Team Shelter, you're joining the fight for housing justice.

Our experts provide advice and support for people at the sharp end of the housing emergency. Thanks to fundraisers like you, last year:

  • 15,975 households received support from our emergency helpline

  • 12,203 households visited our local hubs for advice

  • 4,673 households worked with our legal advice services

We stand with renters facing eviction. We call out systemic racism in the housing sector. And we campaign for long-term change that will tackle the root causes of homelessness.

Fundraising for Shelter

We recommend you start by setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving and asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can also organise an event such as a bake sale or quiz. See our fundraising resources for more inspiration.

Please make sure you’re confident in reaching the fundraising pledge before you sign up. We invest in places at charity events and need to raise as much as possible for our fight against housing injustice.

Our friendly Events team are on hand to support you with your fundraising. If you have a question or want to talk through ideas, email running@shelter.org.uk or call us on 0344 515 1190.
