Defend the right to a safe home by running and fundraising for Shelter.

You must be at least 17 years old to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

Already have your own place?

If you were lucky enough to secure your own spot, you can still join Team Shelter and use your place to fight the housing emergency. We'd love for you to join the team – please get in touch.

In the midst of a housing emergency, our experts are on hand to provide advice, advocacy and free legal aid. We stand with renters facing no-fault evictions. We defend the rights of families crammed into hotel rooms.

The funds you raise will help to make housing justice a reality. Toby, who ran with his teammates from PEI Group, said:

The Royal Parks Half is a brilliant event, not to mention running for a great cause! It was a hot day but the Shelter cheer squad at mile six spurred me on.

Fundraising for Shelter

We recommend you start by setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving and asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can also organise an event such as a bake sale or quiz. See our fundraising resources for more inspiration.

Please make sure you’re confident in reaching the fundraising pledge before you sign up. We invest in places at charity events and need to raise as much as possible for our fight against housing injustice.

Our friendly Events team are on hand to support you with your fundraising. If you have a question or want to talk through ideas, email running@shelter.org.uk or call us on 0344 515 1190.
