Donate to stand with families like Andy's

£180 could pay for six emergency calls with a Shelter adviser

Imagine getting a call that tells you that you've been illegally evicted from your home. That was Andy's reality. When his wife was out, their landlord changed the locks. Their five-year-old daughter, Angie, would come home from school with nowhere to go.

That's when Andy reached out to our emergency helpline. Nadeem, our helpline adviser, listened and made sure Andy understood his housing rights. He helped their family find a hotel.

We stood by Andy as he filled in forms, attended meetings and refused to give up. Every donation you make today could mean we keep fighting alongside families like Andy's. By supporting Shelter, you were there with him every step of the way.

Eventually, with our support, Andy secured a permanent home for Angie and his wife. This is what your generosity translates into - hope and security. Today, Angie is six. This Christmas, she'll celebrate in a place she can truly call home.

But thousands more families are facing homelessness this winter

Parents need someone in their corner as they fight for their children's right to a safe home. With you by our side, we can be their ally.

Will you stand with families like Andy's so, together, we can make a change?
