Families are at breaking point
Over 86,000 families face yet another night in damaging temporary accommodation – in overcrowded hostels, cramped bed-and-breakfasts, and other places that are unsafe and unstable.
Many families will spend months or even years in unfit temporary accommodation, with little or no support.
Parents fear for their children's health – and with good reason. Over half of parents say that living in temporary accommodation has harmed their children's health.
Help us be there when it matters most. When a family reaches a Shelter adviser, they find someone who will listen, support, and fight alongside them for a safer home.
