I joined Shelter because throughout my previous career I saw the appalling impact of the housing emergency on people’s lives. Shelter is uniquely placed to fight for home, alongside individuals and families, with communities and across society, and it’s a huge privilege to be part of it.

Polly joined Shelter in August 2017 from Women’s Aid, where she was Chief Executive. Previously, she was Executive Director of External Relations and Communications at Action for Children, one of the UK’s largest charities. (Photo credit: Honor Elliott)
