The Manchester Half Marathon is one of the region's top running events, with over 20,000 people taking part.
The closed-road route starts and finishes at Old Trafford. With no major hills, it's a flat course ideal for beginners or experienced runners chasing a personal best. Expect an unbeatable atmosphere, fantastic entertainment and energising cheer zones to inspire you every step of the way.
When you sign up for a Shelter charity place, you're joining the fight for housing justice.
You must be at least 17 years old to run the Manchester Half Marathon.
Already have your own place?
If you were lucky enough to secure your own spot, you can use your place to help end the housing emergency by running and fundraising for Shelter. We'd love for you to join the team – please get in touch.

Every mile, every drop of sweat, and every pound you raise will help to end the devastating impact of the housing emergency.
For example, your £299 fundraising pledge could:
fund ten calls to our emergency helpline
enable a Helpline Plus adviser to resolve a complex case, supporting someone who faces a difficult housing issue
pay for legal advice to help a family in crisis keep their home
Fundraising for Shelter
We recommend you start by setting up a fundraising page on JustGiving and asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can also organise an event such as a bake sale or quiz. See our fundraising resources for more inspiration.
Please make sure you’re confident in reaching the fundraising pledge before you sign up. We invest in places at charity events and need to raise as much as possible for our fight against housing injustice.
Our friendly Events team are on hand to support you with your fundraising. If you have a question or want to talk through ideas, email running@shelter.org.uk or call us on 0344 515 1190.
