Department for Work and Pensions annual rates used to calculate housing benefit from 2017 onwards and circumstances impacting the amount.

Figures used to calculate applicable amounts, treatment of capital, disregards and deductions relevant to a claimant for the calculation of her/his entitlement to housing benefit.

The housing benefit rates are updated annually by the Department for Work and Pensions and take effect in April each year.

Benefit rates used to calculate housing benefit in the years prior to 2017 are no longer published on Shelter Legal.
