Challenge yourself by running the Run Sandringham Half Marathon, raise at least £175, and join the fight for housing justice.

One of the biggest running events in East Anglia, this half-marathon is popular with both beginners and experienced runners.

The relatively flat route starts and finishes in the Sandringham Estate - the royal family's winter residence. You'll also enjoy picturesque views of the Norfolk countryside on the roads and trails surrounding the estate.

Sign up for a Shelter charity place and defend the right to a safe home for everyone.

You must be at least 17 years old to run the Sandringham Half Marathon.

Already have your own place?

If you've already secured a spot, you can use your place to help fight the housing emergency by running and fundraising for Shelter. We'd love for you to join the team – please get in touch.

Your run fuels the fight for home

Wooden Run Sandringham signage in multiple colours is planted in the field at the Sandringham Half Marathon 2025.

When you run with Team Shelter, every pound you raise helps to end the devastating impact of the housing emergency.

Our experts provide advice, advocacy and free legal aid to families facing homelessness or unsafe housing.

We also tackle the root causes of homelessness by:

  • campaigning for a new generation of social homes

  • educating renters about their rights

  • calling out systemic racism in the housing sector

Join us and be part of the fight for housing justice.

Fundraising for Shelter

Read our full guidance about running and fundraising for Shelter.

We recommend you start by setting up a fundraising page on Givewheel and asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can also organise an event such as a bake sale or quiz. See our fundraising resources for more inspiration.

Please make sure you’re confident in reaching the fundraising pledge before you sign up. We invest in places at charity events and need to raise as much as possible for our fight against housing injustice.

Our friendly Events team are on hand to support you with your fundraising. If you have a question or want to talk through ideas, contact Maya by email at Maya_BrodieDowden@shelter.org.uk or call 0344 515 1190.
